The Babelfish mailing list is a lifeline for our members, enabling them to keep in contact with one another, to keep each other informed of club events or to send stories about monkeys. To join, you will obviously need an e-mail account, either one provided for you by the university, or one of the many free web based mails available.

Please note that there are several rules of etiquette that should be followed:

• It pays to be polite. A message, once sent, cannot be taken back.
• Spamming the list will not win you friends.
• If you have a large attachment (larger than 10k or so) think twice about sending it. It its far better to tell others how to find something than drop it in their mail box.
• Please thread your comments! Reply to the parts of the email you want to reply to beneath the previous message, and delete the parts you are not replying to. This provides a logical flow of information and makes it easier for people to read and reply to your email.

Remember! The list is a privilege and not a right, and you can be banned from using it.
